Tool stack

Which AI should you use for each step?

ChatGPT / Claude

Concept, tracklist, lyrics, prompt refinement. Claude helps write and critique, but does not generate the final audio or cover image.

Suno

Main tool for songs: vocals, instrumentals, lyrics, remixes, stems, and variations.

Midjourney

Album cover, single artwork, moodboards, and visual style exploration.

Canva / Photoshop

Final cover sizing, typography, exports, and social posts.

Workflow

From empty idea to usable result.

1. Define the album concept

Choose genre, emotion, audience, story, visual references, and what makes the project recognizable. Think in a small world, not just separate songs.

2. Build the tracklist

Ask ChatGPT or Claude for ten track ideas with tempo, energy, theme, and purpose. Cut it down to the strongest five or eight.

3. Write lyrics and Suno prompts

Work per song with genre, BPM, vocal style, instruments, language, structure, and mood. Use Suno for the music itself and generate variations until the hook works.

4. Create stems and alternate versions

Use instrumental versions, vocal versions, or stems to make edits, snippets, teasers, loopable sections, and social content.

5. Design the cover in Midjourney

Translate the album concept into a visual prompt: subject, style, colors, camera, composition, material, and format. Add text later in Canva or Photoshop.

6. Check rights and quality

Check license, plan, usage rights, volume, spelling, metadata, cover format, and whether the style imitates an existing artist too closely.

Concrete examples

Make the workflow visible before you start.

Audio blueprint Track 01: Morning Voltage

118 BPM, bright synth-pop, warm vocal, short intro, optimistic hook, clean drums, no artist imitation.

Cover prompt Midjourney visual direction

A neon sunrise over a small studio desk, glass synth keys, soft cinematic light, editorial album cover, no text.

Release asset Social teaser

A 12-second instrumental hook loop with cover crop, animated waveform, and one short caption.

Starter prompt

Use this as your first brief.

Create a concept for an English synth-pop EP about optimism after a stressful season. Give me 6 tracks with title, theme, BPM, vocal style, Suno prompt, and a Midjourney cover prompt with no text.

Portfolio references

Borrow visual language from finished work.

These Aivion Studios portfolio pieces are useful as reference points for mood, layout, cover direction, or web presentation. Each card links back to the portfolio source.

Level

Easy, Medium, and Expert approach.

Easy

One song: choose genre, mood, and topic. Generate three Suno variations and pick the strongest hook.

Medium

One EP: create a tracklist, consistent sound, recurring words, cover style, and short social snippets.

Expert

A release package: stems, instrumentals, cover variants, motion loops, metadata, planning, and channel strategy.
