About Jakub Pachocki
Jakub is the Chief Scientist at OpenAI, where he has led transformative research initiatives since 2017. He previously served as Director of Research spearheading the development of GPT‑4 and OpenAI Five, and fundamental research in large-scale RL and deep learning optimization. He has been instrumental in refocusing the company's vision towards scaling deep learning systems. Jakub holds a PhD in theoretical computer science from Carnegie Mellon University.
